JianWen Chen was conscientiously educated from Fashion Design department in Shih-Chien University in Taipei, Taiwan. Through densely reading and traveling, he’s also inspired by theater art, music, fine arts, cinema, and observation of history/culture. The various kinds of fashion design related works assisted him to appreciate the knowledge and value of various textiles. These experiences profoundly affect JianWen Chen’s attitude and insistence on fashion design.
在台北實踐大學服裝設計系就讀時，接受正統的技術學習，更在成長過程中，透過大量閱讀與旅遊，將興趣拓展到戲劇、音樂、藝術、電影，與歷史文化觀察。此外，透過不同類型的服裝設計相關工作，更深入認識材質的運用特性與價值。這些背景都深深影響陳建文在服裝設計領域的堅持及態度
